Functions:
- Pre-authorization: This authorization type verifies that the shopper's account is valid and has sufficient funds to cover a transaction, but does not debit the account. It is intended for use cases as described above, when you don't yet know the amount to be captured. It allows you to increase or decrease the initially authorized amount at a later point in time.
- Final authorization: the final amount is agreed up front and the transaction will be captured in full. This is the default authorization type, and it doesn't allow you to adjust the authorized amount later. Before final authorization you can:
a) Change authorization amount (decrease or increase)
b) Cancel the pre-authorization.
Pre-authorization
If you need to pre-authorize amount on payer account you need:
- Create payment request on DennyPay system:
1. Add a new payment request
- Pre-authorize decired amount:
3. POS pre-authorize
- Extend or change pre-authorization amount

Extend pre-autorization time: By default pre-authorization is active about 20 days. If in some cases you need to extend the pre -authorization you can make 0.00 transaction. After that pre-autorization date will be changed to current date and card holder bank will start calculate release time from now.

Change pre-autorization amount: In case if need change pre-authorization amount (increase or decrease) you need insert new desired amount. If your client have now enough balance to increse pre-autorization amount you will get error.

Final authorization (Capture): If you need carge the pre-autorize amountyou can use “Capture” function. Before using this function be sure that you have correct pre-authorization amount. If you need - you can change it.
